PhotoOp: Balloon Festival in Highland Village

Hey All,

On a lighter, more fun note, the Highland Village Balloon Festival is next weekend, Fri/Sat/Sun (19th - 21st). Should make for a colorful shoot.

I'm going for sure on Friday night at 7:00pm for the Balloon Glow and maybe again at 7:00am for the Balloon Race.

Joe, have you been out to the balloon festival before? I'd love to see some pictures from it - or from any ballon glow to get an idea for what it looks like. Sounds like a very good photo op!

Joe - I took a look at the link you posted. Looks good - I'll be there Friday night.

Snidow or Joe - are either of you familiar with the park/field they'll be using? Just wondering if either of you know of a good spot that might have part of the lake in the foreground reflecting the ballon glow.

The Glow Burn is this Friday, the 19th at 7:45pm in Highland Village.

The plan is to meet out there sometime between 7pm and 7:30pm and figure out where the best place to get photos will be. I'm going out there in the next day or so to scope out the location so I'll let you know more then.

Bring a tripod as I doubt you'll get any good handheld shots. I've never done a Glow before either so I'm coming prepared.

I'll update this thread on Thurs night or Friday morning with a meeting location.
