Arrow Trip to the Dallas Zoo - 08-11-2005, 10:25 AM

Hello friends, made my first trip after the Photo Safari to the Dallas Zoo yesterday, the day was a little overcast so thought it was the best time to be there, I was glad the cheeta's were awake.. unfortunately, the Wilds of Africa part was closed and so no Gorillas and Chimps...
the pictures are here, comments and critique welcome... Cheers, Srini RR

Zoo update - 08-11-2005, 02:28 PM

The Zoo closed the Wilds of Africa for a month to redo the Gorilla enclosure they are also redoing many other sections there. This work should be completed by September 8th, also upcoming is the otter opening, the enclose is complete and the 3 otters are currently there but not viewable to the public at this time. They also have a new Tamarin exhibit that just opened. And something I am looking forward to will be a walk through for the animals that are currently viewable only by the monorail at this time.

Not to high jack the thread, nice photos!

Howdy Srini - 08-11-2005, 09:26 PM

Howdy Srini,

Wonderful collections of images, I really like the beautiful shot of the Cheetah.

I would love to do the Dallas Photo Safari when it resumes in the Fall, you will have to put together a ShootOut for that!!

Thanks Craig, it was one of those spontaneous moments, actually I planned to go to the FW Zoo and while in the car made a turn to go East to the Dallas Zoo, atleast I was glad that the Cheeta's were awake. They are really beautiful animals.
Than the Dallas Zoo or the FW ZOo, we should all go to the Caldwell zoo in Tyler, I know that it is one of your favorites. I really liked that zoo and maybe we should all make a trip there some time, I know Daniel(Zeroendless) will be game, we went there together the last time. TTYL.. Srini RR
