Looking for a mechanical bull - 04-22-2008, 11:43 AM

Can anyone recommend some places that feature a mechanical bull? I have some out-of-towners coming in this weekend and they have their heart set at giving one a go.

I of course, want to take many hilarious pictures of the event, so a venue that's photo friendly is preferred.

Thanks in advance!

Try Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. Not sure if they have a mechanical bull, but it's worth a shot.

Addison City Limits in addison (duh). I've talked to the manager there numerous times, and he allows me to take my DSLR into the bar as long as I agree to give him copies of the pictures. I used to go there every wednesday night to take pictures at "Fight Night". Anyway, they have a mechanical bull.

Red River in Dallas off of 35 and Northwest hwy has a mechanical bull, but not sure on their restrictions on DSLRs.

Southern Junction in Royce City also has a mechanical bull, but again, I'm unclear as to their restrictions on DSLRs.

Point and shoots are ok at all locations.

Exactly my thought. I know they "used to" have one. Haven't been in there in years though but you could always call first.

Cowboy's in Arlington and Cowboy's Red River both have one... I've been on both.... Don't remember much after that though. I have pictures.

Looks like the glass needs to be cleaned on your camera. Either that or people are hotboxing that place. lol.

See, that's me on the bull and my friend is taking the pics with one of those silly little pocket cameras. Not much I can do about all that.

I know. It was a joke. I'm pretty sure my P&S has fingerprints and beer splashes on the glass.

They also have the bull that was in Urban Cowboy. If you go on a Friday night it is a ghost town. Saturdays can get busy.

The house band is fantastic, I'm great friends with all of them.
