Anyone have any good location ideas for a fun senior session? The Dallas Arboretum has come up in discussion with the senior, but we also wanted to see what other good places were available (maybe even free). I would appreciate any ideas

We take our senior to Luby's......something about a Luann platter after the old folks home food always brightens her day.

Rockwall Harbour, there's a shopping center in Southlake with a gazeebo and lots of cool spots. Bear creek park in highland park is a new spot I just found. Thats all I can think of this early in the morning.

If the senior wants something urban, look around for rough-looking spots in Big D. For Western stuff, head on over to Cowtown and tool around the Stockyards.

If it's a female senior I think that Teddy Bear Park would be a good choice.

One thing I forgot to mention is to not discount the student's high school. Unless it's a hideous building, most have something going for them (esp. if you shoot with a very shallow dept of field).

Of course, teens might balk at the idea if they want high fashion. But the photos might mean more to them later.

I see a lot of people shooting at Canyon Creek in Richardson. That waterfall makes a nice backdrop and there's plenty of shade to help control the lighting.

Try Deep Ellum, West end, Vistory Park in Dallas. Las Colinas is also really nice . A little father away is downtown McKinney and Plano. Mockingbird station in dallas is another one.
