I hate taking photos alone!

Anyone in the Mesquite area willing to hang out with another photographer? Im trying my best to learn as much as I can about my passion, but my inspiration gets shoved in the dirt with no one to share ideas or photo ops with. I dont know of a whole lot of places in my area, so I trying to find other people who are willing to explore with me.... any takers??

Explore is exactly what you have to do... there are photo ops everywhere, you just gotta go for it.

For ideas, check out the Assignments section (ok, that's a self promotional plug) ... you don't have to take this month's assignment.. find one and go shoot it - interpret it.

Find a park.. shoot bugs.. flowers.. playground equipment from interesting angles..

I know its more fun to shoot with other people.. but that's not always possible. Our hobby can be, by its very nature, a lonely sport sometimes. LOL

sorry I keep forgetting to log in. I'm just now seeing this. I do "model mayhem" meetings - but any photographer, model, mua, or stylist is welcome to come, every few weeks. There is one this Saturday at Posado's in Plano, 2pm. Great chance to meet people in the industry. We don't shoot at these meetings, just talk and exchange contact info. I have made lots of friends with these meetings though.

I'm from mesquite by the way. Although here in a couple of weeks I'll be moving to Las Colinas. That probably doesn't help you out too much.

I'm in Plano and have the same problem. I'm always wishing I had some one to get out and shoot with! I enjoy shooting wildlife, MX, scenics, people, architecture. I have memberships at the Dallas Arboretum, The Heard Museum, and sometimes head up to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge, or the Rookery at the Southwestern Medical Center. Believe me I know how you feel! I have a D200 and am struggling with it in learning how the stupid thing works!

Actually I work out in Las Colinas, so its an everyday drive for me.

You are pretty much interested in the samethings I am, I used to race pitbikes a while back, and i practically grew up on a motocycle. Let me know your schedule, we coould def. hang out!

No way. I will definitely be there. Networking is always good. You'll recognize me because I'll be the one who is so ridiculously good looking that if he could he would exclusively photograph mirrors. (And modest too.)
