Fun with the Fort Worth Cats - 08-17-2005, 11:53 AM

Jakestir and I took in the final home season game of the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field, it was my first time to a Cats game.

First off, we got front row seats, second, every worker there was so helpful I wanted to tip them all, third, they make it a great deal of fun for kids and families, fourth, they let me bring in some heavy duty camera equipment, fifth, fireworks.

As of today, I'm the newest FW Cats fan. Here are some fun shots from the night:

Here's a shot from our seats, right over the Cats dugout (taken with the fisheye which is why everything looks far away (it wasn't)):

Dodger their mascot making it fun for the kids:

I guess Dodger races someone each game and has lost 190 consecutive times. Tonight he raced the Cats president, here is the result:

Here's what it looks like when you come from behind to win in the bottom of the 9th with two outs:

The Cats are in the playoffs which start on the 22nd. If you get a chance, go. It's fun and it's a challenging shoot. And take Jake, he's a great guy to shoot with!

Thanks!!

First one is the fisyeye and I think the rest are the 70-200. I brought the 200-400mm and used it a little but considering how close we were, I really didn't need it.
