FW Camera Club or Cleburne Camera Club? - 06-14-2008, 08:05 PM

Can anyone give me some insight as to either of these clubs? I've looked at the FWCC website and seen the CCC yahoo group posts. What I'm looking for is how they compare to one another, as far as programs, speakers, outings, etc.
Thanks

I used to belong to the FW Camera Club. I was disappointed in that basically all we did at the meetings that I attended was watch slide shows of everyone's work. Boring.

So they didn't have programs or presenters with demonstrations?

I was a member about 2 years ago. The only "presenter" that I saw was someone that went on an African safari. We watched a slideshow of his images. I stopped going to meetings after about 3 or 4 months because I saw it as a phenomenal waste of my time.

I wish I DID know of something around Mansfield, but I don't.

you can try Hope Camera Club.

It's free, you don't have to be a church member, and there is loads of talent there. Real nice people.

Dallas/Ft. Worth Photography Group - 06-17-2008, 12:40 AM

Hello Everyone.

I run the Dallas Digital Photography Group. We have events, seminars, workshops, etc all over the Metroplex. We have local road trips to OK, LA, AR as well as photography vacation trips planned. We had an event at the Ft.W. Gardens, Clark Gardens, and Stockyards. Please check out our website and our calendar of events. I try to keep events posted all over the region.

Please see my signature for the link. Hope you can make a few of our events. You can also read members feedback and see how well our group is rated. We also post pictures on the site. Please feel free to browse through them.

From what I have seen while looking around is the DDPG is the best around. Seems like they have the most events and by far the most members. I would like to go to the event in Dallas this weekend ... but it is my daughters birthday....and I am the photographer! Yea!! my first gig.....:)
