Big Cat Crusade: Attention DFW Wildlife Photographers and Big Cat Lovers - 08-21-2005, 11:10 PM

Many of you are already familiar with Pug-Mark Park in McKinney, where the tiger shoots take place. For those of you who are not, they rescue big cats. To quote their brochure, Pug-Mark Park was started to provide a permanent, non-breeding home for old, injured and otherwise unwanted big cats." They currently have three tigers and a lioness.

The only charitable money coming in to Pug-Mark Park right now is through the tiger shoots. It helps, but these cats eat a lot of meat. They cannot afford to rescue all of the animals they would like to.

With our help, Pug-Mark Park can become a world class sanctuary for these magnificent animals, and one day realize their dream of rehabilitating the cats and reintroducing them into their natural environments. I'm out to cause an awareness and fundraising event in November to help make this happen. I need your help to do it. If you are willing to give any of your time, energy and creativity to this project, please PM me.

There is a little more information in this thread. The plans are really just speculations until I know who is willing to help.

Great.. and in the future, please refrain from cross posting like this... all it serves to do is split the conversation.
