It said traffic lasted several hours, i wonder it cleared out around noon. I was heading east about the same area of LBJ around 1:15pm, traffic clogged up and many cars started to cross over the freeway to service roads. It was a mess but that was the begining. I looked back the side mirror, next time i know, one car flipped 90 degree and slided along the HOV lane. I don't know WTH just happened, some really weird stuffs went on that side of LBJ today.

It's sad she died. They showed the video on the news tonight and she got out of her car on the shoulder and attempted to walk across all lanes of LBJ when she got hit... really bad decision. No accident photo is worth the risk she took. Incredibly poor judgement.

It's sad but based on the report it was all her fault.

OMG - that's terrible. Was she on TPF? Really, really bad decision on her part -
***sent an email to WFAA asking for her service information - maybe we could send some flowers or something***

Channel 5 news just said that she was hit while trying to get to the accident victims and help. They didn't say anything about her photographing it.

| Yup. Heck, the video showed her walking across the lanes of traffic! Quote: |

| That's the story I heard, also. They never said anything about her wanting to take pictures.

how sad :( I am known to stop at accidents to try to help people... Guess you get caught in moment thinking you are safe as most people would slow down to see accident anyways so she must of not look :(

they actually showed the video of her getting hit?
well i'm sorry to hear it happened. it's hard to understand getting hit by a car, i don't really see how it can be anyone's fault BUT the person who gets hit....cept maybe a car jumping up onto a sidewalk or something. either way be careful. it's sad to hear about someone so young dying tragically.

The reports yesterday were only guessing as to why she stopped. The accident was caught on a TxDOT camera but because of privacy concerns TxDot is not allowed to record thier video. However channel 11 did record the feed from that camera ( as they were already monitoring the first accident) and played it on thier evening news yesterday. It shows her walking across the freeway but they cut away to a different view when the car was within mere seconds of hitting her. From what it showed she had no clue as to what was about to happen, I read the article in the paper today that a friend of hers said she stopped to get a better picture. Very sad indeed.

Channel 11 had family saying that she didnt even have a cell phone camera and that she was going across to try and help. Sure would help if the reporters would find the facts BEFORE reporting... Quote:

One of the two fires were out, and emergency vehicles were on the scene. I think kind of rules out stopping to help. But I don't think anybody will really ever know what she was thinking and the passenger in her car won't talk about it. Very Sad | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
