Fireworks in Ft Worth

We parked at the Tarrant County Water Conservation office (I think?) at Northside and the Trinity River. There is plenty of space for kids to play and a beautiful view of the skyline and LaGrave field. Evidently 95.9 The Ranch radio station is hosting an annual 4th of July party/battle of the bands nearby. (Near enough to hear the music over the loudspeakers, but plenty far away from the crowds.) The hot air balloon stayed "parked", but it made for some fun photos. Here they are. (A few more on my flickr page.)

Thanks everyone. I hope to get a little closer next year. Also would like to try full manual control, as I was using the camera's fireworks mode this time. And I want a remote control. I got some good captures, but it was pretty much a crap shoot given the 2-second delay I had to use. Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone else's fireworks photos.
