Another notch in your gun belt.
Nicely done, especially in the heat and noon time sun.

Howdy Keith,

Wowser, what a neat shot. Is this taken from outside the Fence? Perhaps you should Host a Shootout and teach us your Techniques, as you always get great shots of all the different kinds of planes.

Yeah, I'd be up for that. These shots are great! I'd love to take a stab at this type of shooting. Where is this place?

Yeah. . . this was taken on the westside of the base. . . .Go like you're going to the main gate to the Lockheed Martin plant (heading north on Spur 341) and take the exit to White Settlement Road. . .it curves around and you'll see a spot next to the fence where cars park.. As for technique. . . I really don't have one . . .Other than I shoot almost always Shutter Priority. . . prop planes at 250 or slower to allow for a good prop blur. . . jets I shoot 500 and up. . . .depending on the light obviously. . .

West of downtown Fort Worth. . . .take the Spur 341 exit to the Lockheed-Martin plant. . . .head north and exit White Settlement Road. . . . you'll see it as you're rounding the curve. . . cross the bridge and double-back. . . . just a warning. . sometimes, not often, base security will ask you to leave the area. . . .and they are usually very nice about it. . . .the only signs posted on the fence are No Tresspassing. . .but then you're not tresspassing because you are outside the fence. . . and there are no No Photography signs. . . it's really the best place to shoot jets and has been there for years. . . the best time to go is in the afternoon when the sun is behind you. . . an even better time is when the wind is out of the north and they are landing south to north. . . . .easier shooting a jet at 130mph instead of 400mph!
