JFK wasn't alive in 1969. These look like mass produced dupes circulated for promotional purposes. Worth preserving. If they are originals they are probably worth a few bucks. You need to store them properly. Any camera store can scan them. Possibly better than doing it yourself.

I just looked at the slide mounts. The gaf logo means they were mass produced and sold as sets.
