Frisco, Plano, McKinney Photowalk

Since Dallas is full, I have applied to have the Northern suburb area of Frisco, Plano, McKinney added to the list of participating cities. When I hear from them officially I will post it here and notify everyone that adds to this thread that they want to participate. This sounds like a lot of fun.

Sorry I was a little short on information on the initial post.
This world wide event, on August 23, is being organized by Scott Kelby of Photoshopuser and Lightroom Software. A photowalk is a social event to get together with other photographers, walk and shoot together just to have fun. We will shoot for 2 or 3 hours, then gather someplace to eat and drink and share our images with each other. There are some small prizes given out. I am going to see if I can get some more prizes for our group.

Some random thoughts I have had. We only have about two to three hours to photograph so you don't need a ton of things to do. Downtown McKinney is a great area with lots of opportunities. This old town established in the 1800s has a ton of character starting with the Courthouse and some run down areas by the railroad tracks. Downtown Frisco has a small old section of town and a very new section down by the Pizza Hut Park. Downtown Plano has some good areas in and around the Dart Rail station. I am open to other suggestions as well.

Downtown Mckinney can be fun, there is a old rail road track that is not in use, plus some the square in around the courthouse can be fun. Frisco, I wonder if we can shoot around the Dr. Pepper Ball Park?

I still have not heard from them as of 5:00PM today. Not giving up. Keep looking and planning on going. We will do this one way or another.

I'm up for it too. I'm in McKinney and downtown McKinney is undergoing some construction but there's still plenty to see and take pics of.
