I am looking for some tall grass or a wheat field to do a shoot. Anyone know an area in DFW? Side of a road is fine...

The bride has filled me in 48 hours in advance that this is what she had envisioned for her bridal... eek.

You MAYBE can find some on 380 in between McKinney and Denton, but they have been cutting lately.

I have seen some on 380 out East of McKinney, between McKinney and Princeton as well, but that was a couple of weeks ago. I've seen a lot of cut down fields lately!

You shoulda hollered before I mowed. I still have a little bit of tall grass along the back side by my pump jack.

You might try one of the public parks or gardens that has a natural area (just be aware that some of these places require you to buy a permit). Can't really suggest any, but that's a start.

Or maybe have her squat down in a pile of potted grass at Home Depot.

There's some tall grass out off Legacy & the North Tollway? Not sure if you can use it, but JC Penny has some great natural grass next to the sidewalk running across their place. There's also a farm just south of Legacy that has some type of grain.

All of them are right next to the road???

There is a great tall corn field a couple streets behind my house (on the edge of Mesquite and Forney). It is beautiful! I shot there a week or so ago. I hope they don't cut it down soon--I want to go again. I could give you a more specific location, if you are interested. PM me.

the corn fields ahve mostly all been cut down now, in Forney you can patk at 740 and 20 and whalk right into field weat or corn depending on season.

In the ftw area, along the trinity trails near Westover Hills area, there's lots of spots like that. They do mow, so you have to keep an eye out for it, but there are spots that are a "late mow" area... I guess they can't mow it during a certain time in the year.

Amanda, You might want to read a bit more before posting, to get familiar with this forum. The OP (original poster) asked this question back in August 2008, so you didn't help him any. And while your response does no harm it does bring this old thread back into the "New Posts" category.

Don, I was reading through old posts that were helpful even though they were old. I thought though the original poster might not still need the answer, others like me who read it in the future might find a ftw suggestion helpful. I am not a seasoned pro on here, but that seems reasonable to me. Is that not how others use it? Is there a way to reply to the quote and not bring it in new again? Thanks for your help.
