Group Shoot - Aug 23, 2008: Frisco/Plano/McKinney Photo GTG

***Sunday Night Update***
Please Note Slight Changes to Schedule time and meeting place
I had to make some slight changes in start time and I also changed the meeting place so we would spend less time traveling and more time shooting.
On Sunday night I spent some time firming up plans for the Group Shoot. We will meet and park in front of Frisco's City Hall. We have about a 2 mile course to walk and photograph. It will be on City Streets that start at City Hall, go to the Frisco's Historical District, cross the RR Tracks into old downtown Frisco to the old City Square, walk through some grain silos along the tracks, and finish up at Pizza Hut Park.
After the shoot I have reserved us a room at Mattitos Cantina Tex-Mex which is across the street from Pizza Hut Park and two blocks from where we started. We will be able to view our images and select a winner from the shoot.

Schedule:
6:15PM - Gather in front of Frisco's City Hall, 6101 Frisco Square Boulevard
6:30PM - 9:00PM - Depart to photograph around the downtown area.
9:00PM - 11:00PM - Compare images, eat, drink, and award prizes.

Why do this and participate?
First, I am doing this for the association with other photographers.
Secondly, I have always wanted to see what other photographers see when we are standing in the same place. How does my work compare to others.


The only other walk in the area, Dallas, is full. So we are going to do our own 'walk' on the same day.

The long term forecasts for us does NOT include any 100° days for the rest of the month. So the evening hours should be wonderful.

Great to have you.
If you or anyone else has any suggestions for areas to photograph, I am open to ideas. I am also looking for a place to meet afterward centralized to the three cities. I would like to be in a separate room, where we could socialize, talk and look at our pictures while we eat and drink.
