Here's some engagement shots I took in downtown Grapevine. Password is "feldhaushood" to get in. There are some possibilities we didn't use, and they weren't as adventurous as I'd hoped. Some neat sculptures dot the downtown area that could be incorporated unless the couple isn't up for a little cheese.

I don't think you can shoot in the Gaylord or the Grapevine Botanical Gardens without having to pay something. From what I understand, the Gaylord is NOT cheap. I think that the Botanical Gardens is something like $50-75 (JohnT would know for sure).

Main Street could be very cool.

I've never shot at the Grapevine gardens, but I've been there with my family. It's pretty nice. If I'm remembering correctly, it's $75 for a first professional shoot, and then $50 every time after that.

You can get away with engagements without lights or assistants at the Gaylord. Just dont block walkways or doors. For bridals there is a very large fee if the bride and groom didn't book the Gaylord venues.

Todd can you give an intersection? Particularly the red wall. I am not familiar with Grapevine but want to check it out.

You can take this for what it's worth, but I would be very uneasy with taking a paying client to a place where you can "get away" with taking the pics. The Gaylord has every right to run you out, which would be VERY embarrasing from a professional point of view.

Allow me to rephrase, I have been told by the event staff at the Gaylord that it was ok without lights, assistants, and to not block doorways and walkways and there would be no fee for engagements.

I shouldn't have used the phrase "get away" as I was told this was just fine.

I encourage anyone to call for themselves and check before they shoot at this location. Yes, when it comes down to it, they can ask you to leave at anytime for any reason.

It's been awhile since I took them. If you go onto Grapevine Main Street, it's further up in the older portion. The business is on a corner on the right side of the street if you are driving away from 114, and it's more of a coral color in real life but I upped the saturation to compensate for the bright sun and a near-albino bride-to-be.
