I live in Lewisville. Exactly what kind of setting are you looking for? PM me if you want.

Depending on what you're looking for there's plenty of industrial-boring towards the 635/121 interchange... maybe east of the I35 in Lewisville...

Looking for old, abandoned buildings - metal or brick - ideally something with light penetration that I can get inside of

I dunno. Maybe Fort Worth. Maybe the Cotton Mill in McKinney but I highly doubt you're going to find anything like that in Lewisville/Flower Mound!

There's an old feed store, with silos in back, on the south end of downtown Lewisville. That's it so far.

Seems like I've seen old abandoned buildings around here somewhere, I just can't remember where...

(ps. woohoo - my 200th post...lol)

I think "publically accessible" is your biggest obstacle. Well, that and you may have to get a little further from Lewisville/FM.

Take a look at this guy:

http://www.scootermagruder.com/

Look under "photography 2008", "photography 2007" and "... pre-2007". He's done a lot of what he calls "urban decay" at abandoned industrial sites. I only bring Matt up because he is very dedicated to this, but he will be the first to tell you that this work almost always involves trespassing. Not to mention that these places are often dangerous in several regards.

Thanks Big Dog. Matt definitely shoots locations that would be perfect.

I'm just going to drive around for 3-4 hours this week, trying the back streets behind old downtown lewisville and various (older) industrial areas of the cities. Gotta be something old and decrepit out there...lol
