Yup lots of fun out at the Balloon Festival this year. Seemed like the crowd was bigger than last year. And it seemed like camera's out numbered people. lol

Very nice photos gentlemen. I was there Saturday early evening with the HUGE crowd. Wish I had stayed latter for the "glow". Especially after seeing Ken and David's night shots. But I had promised to meet a fried at Addison's October Fest, so I left about 7pm. Will definitely be doing this again next year.

Here's one of my mine from Saturday evening setting up for the Balloon glow.

Topaz adjust is an interesting piece of software. Funny timing on your post I downloaded it yesterday and have also been playing with Plano balloon shots. I think I may buy it while the $39 special is running to the end of the month. I decided to push the shot above to the "painting" side. I'm not usually a big fan of much manipulation but have been wanting to develop a portrait "painintg" technique, but so far have not come up with much I like.

Your manipulation has a mixed feel to it; sort of something that could be on the cover of a kids fantasy book. It has a bit of mystery, I like it.

I think I'm going to buy it while it's at that price. I like some of the effects that I have seen so far.

It was a pretty fun weekend up in Plano. Not too many things get me up at 5:30 in the AM, much less on two consecutive weekend days!! We had planned on making it for all the liftoffs/nightglows after making it in Friday afternoon, but we got stuck in the horrible traffic on the access road Sat. evening, and after seeing several balloons drift by while parked along the freeway, decided it might not hurt to miss one evening!! It must have been some crowd that day.
Anyway, here are a few I took over the weekend.

Thanks for looking. More pics in my gallery in the link below.
