Today I had the pleasure of doing a last-minute E-Session in Keller, Texas. By last minute, I mean that I was supposed to do a maternity session at 6:00 tonight and that got rescheduled at 1:00 and then I got a phone call at 1:15 from a bride who wanted to confirm her wedding... and schedule her engagment session. She said, "when is the earliest you can do my engagment session?" To which I replied, "today". And so it goes... but I digress.

Keller is a beautiful little community and you would enjoy yourself just visiting. Now, I had never been to Bear Creek Park before but when I got there, I was amazed. It is an E-Session gold mine! Other than grafitti (sp?) and a train track (which is two blocks away), every single "prop" and background you could ask for is here. I kid you not!

I literally took 237 photos in just under two hours and we only stopped because they hadn't eaten dinner and it was 8:00. Believe me, there was much more photography to be had there. I was like a kid in a candy store.

I'll post the photos as soon as I get done with them... but here's a shot of the park sign that I took as I was driving out:

I've worked in Keller for about five years. The parks and few remaining rural charms are its main selling points.

Bear Creek Park is a little gem, but there are other areas along the trail that are great, too. There is also an old train on display on a section of track that isn't in use that can make for a good photo setting. There are some old houses/shops that are kind of nice, too. And a small lake behind the new city hall building. And sculptures here and there. I could go on!

Sounds like a great find! I'll keep it in my notes for future use. Thank you.

Please do! I want to come back out there just to scout around and see the area. It seems to be a wonderful little community.

I have a friend who has a studio about a block from Bear Creek just off Rufe Snow. She is literally close enough to walk to it.

I work in Keller and went to Keller schools (I swear I left in between). I went to school at Bear Creek Intermediate, which is across the street from the park and had to run miles in that park. It took me ages to go back in fact, but amazingly enough, I just did a little boy's shoot out there a couple of days ago. I use it for most of my outdoor family shoots, especially if they want to bring an animal.

Here are my most recent:

Totally random, but I know that second family... I went to school with the older daughter from like 2nd or 3rd grade and on. Bear Creek is an awesome place to do photo shoots and your pictures look fantastic as I am sure you know! :)

That's funny. Kristell is doing well and working at BNSF now. I work with her father.

And, thank you :) I'm getting better, but it is a tough road! I never knew taking a GOOD freaking picture was so complicated!
