Basketball Anyone? - 09-10-2005, 07:45 PM

These are a few shots form the Tiger Shoot in Mckinney today. This is Rocky playing a little round ball. How would you like to stop him from going to the hoop?

I had to reduce the quality level so much on these shots to post that they don't do justice to the original files.

If these are greatly reduced quality, I don't even want to see the originals. It would probably make me give up photography. These are great, Jim.

I second that notion They're amazing! I got no good action shots, but I didn't really expect to.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really liked the third shot where Rocky has three of his feet off the ground and his eyes closed.

I have a number of other action shots too but I will save those for my website. I got some good ones of Sheba right before she crashed into the fence in front of Trey and me.

Thanks again Tom & Trey for hosting this and to everyone at Pug Mark who have dedicated themselves to caring for these beautiful animals.

If you haven't been to the shoot you have to go. If you have been it is probably time to go again. I have been at least 5 times and there is always something new to photograph when you go.

Great Pictures! - 09-11-2005, 07:02 PM

Jim -

These are really good pics of Rocky. I'm glad you got them. I'll be better prepared for the action next time as my lens choice was not quite wide enough for the basketball shots. I managed to get a few but he wasn't full frame in the shot. I did better once he had the ball under control.

Again - really great shots. You caught the action perfectly.

Those are great Jim. They are super sharp too. What were you using? How many times have you seen the tigers now? Wonderful stuff!
