The problem at their show is of course the headliners are always in the afternoon when you are looking and shooting into the sun. No matter where you are.

I may try and go this weekend. Is anyone else planning on being there for the practice tomorrow? If so, what time? I may try and do that as well/instead.

I'm planning on going out tomorrow. But I don't know exactly when or where. Somewhere along Intermodal Parkway is the best, but they will chase you off from there when they close the roads for the Tbird practice.
You definitely want to be on the West or South side of the field in the afternoon.

Is there anywhere to go on the west side? I'm going tomorrow but, it probably will be close to 12:30 to 2 before I get there. I'll have my 2 y/o in tote so I don't want her to get board before the T-birds come out to play!

I think I'll have a late lunch at one of the restaurants at Westport and 35 which is just outside of the closures on the SE side. Hopefully they'll let me camp out in their parking lot.

Thanks John, I hope I did their performance justice. I was in such awe of them that it was hard to concentrate on photographing them.

Very nice Paul! Unfortunately when you go to the practice you miss the criss cross type shots. At least I was in the wrong place for them anyway.

I know, I missed them too at the practice. However, I was able to anticipate some of the crosses on Sunday. I have quite a few shots before and after with 1 plane only and some OOF. I used jpeg and high speed capture on the 40D to catch those crosses.
