Need help with DFW location. - 10-09-2008, 12:45 AM

I'm looking for an alley somewhere in the DFW area that has a creepy look, preferrably with street lights (but not mandatory). I know I can drive around and look, but I'd like to get some ideas if anyone has any. I want to do a night time shoot with minimal lighting and a couple of models. It's for a specific project I have. I can take care of security so if it's in a less desirable part of the Metroplex, that's o.k.

Here are a couple of photos of the look I'm after.

I hate to keep saying 'Stockyards' whenever anyone asks a question like this, but it's all I can think of.

There used to be some downtown, many years ago, but all I remember seem to be gone now.
Some old residential areas have alleys, but that's now what you seem to be asking for. I can't think of any suburban business areas with alleys.
Probably the best place to investigate other than the stockyards would be Main street, south of the stockyards, between the river and Northside Drive. But I doubt if there is anything left there.

Alleys were once beneficial to downtown for commercial deliveries, when downtown was the primary shopping area. But today, they are just wasted space.

Some older downtowns have alleyways, too, like Grapevine. I just don't know how creepy they are at night because I've only been in the daytime.
