D/FW Family Photo Day - 10-09-2008, 11:01 AM

Anyone interested in participating in a "Family Photo Day?" Our brethren in the Houston area did this last year (original thread) and I believe it was quite a success.

If you are wanting a new family portrait or wanting to learn/practice/build portfolio, this would be a great opportunity. It's set up like a senior shoot, except with families. I think last year they did it in Galveston on the beach. A schedule was set up and your family's portrait was taken, then you photographed the next family, then they photographed the next, etc.

Let me know what you think? Location would be dependant on who was participating.

Well it might just be the three of us. Check your calendars and lets set a date and location. I'm in Denton, so I'm up for suggestions for somewhere new.

I'd be interested. Hubbies schedule is always insane, and I'm having visions of shooting with kids in tow. lol. But otherwise would LOVE to be there.

What is everyone's schedule like? Like everyone else, it's the busy time of the year, but I'm available on the afternoons of Saturday November 1st or 8th. does that work for anyone else?

Also, any suggestions on location? I know the Lakeside Park (Teddy Bear Park) in Highland Park has lots of good and different settings all relatively close together, but I'm game for trying something new.

We would be able to make it on the 8th, if it was in the afternoon. The ninth might work for us as well. (Nothing scheduled as of right now. lol.)

I am doing family sessions at the Lowry Woods in Denton on November 1st. Sessions will start around 4:00. I think Peter (Ahh) will be there and maybe DaShell. I plan to get there around 3:00, so come come on out. The light will be better after 5:00.

Ok...since this is the busy time of year for all of us. Here's what I have available and suggest. How about Saturday afternoon (I might also be available in the morning), November 8th? We can start around 3pm (it's after the time change). Whoever responds first can choose the location as we are running out of time.

Since we're all wanting family portraits, we can concentrate on getting the family shots done first and then shoot any additional shots we want to as time allows. Although this is the best time for me, as that's when I can get all my family there (selfish I know), I have more time available to help with other family portraits if that date doesn't work for you. I'm not only wanting my yearly family portrait made I'm looking to help, learn and grow my portfolio.

If you have questions feel free to call me 469-363-8805
