Great shots, honestly. I took a bunch of pictures at the Houston airshow, but got nowhere near the shots you took! I'm envious!
But, you've inspired to me to see about purchasing tickets to the Wings Over Houston show, again this year, if it hasn't already come and gone.

great shots. I broke my arm right before the show, so I could not use a camera. I am living vicariously through photographers like you for now.

Good for you - I would have been fine with just watching these amazing pilots and planes because they are so entertaining. If you go to your local show, try to get in a position with the sun at your back and somewhere near the end of the runway. We didn't drive into the grounds on purpose because most of the viewing area was looking into the sun, which is not what you want. Do a little research and maybe go check out the airstrip during their practice sessions a couple of days before the show - you may find that the best vantage point is along some road or something near the end of the runway..

Wings Over Houston is a pretty tough place to shoot since the runway is North to South I think. I just haven't been happy with my shots from shows there. Maybe someone can get some better shots than me. Good luck because the weather is always a challenge.
