Portrait location in SE DFW - 11-11-2008, 10:21 PM

Hello all, I'm wondering if any of you can give me some info on places to shoot in the Southeastern part of the metroplex. I have a client that lives in Midlothian and I live in Arlington. Any insight on good outdoor locations between the two cities would be much appreciated.

Cedar Hill State Park is one place that I plan to scout this week. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions.

THANKS,
Chris

I love shooting over at DBU. Lots of different architecture to choose from.

Midlothian itself is a rustic little town with lots of possibilities, just depends if your pricing and time will allow for the drive.

Thanks to the both of you for the tips. We ended up going to Cedar Hill State Park and got great results around the Penn Farm House. Having a great model also helps.

The Audubon Center opened recently in SE Dallas, so you may check that out. I think it does cost money to get in, but i would imagine that it has some nice scenery. I think it is at loop 12 and I-45. The Trinity River Corridor Project website has a link and some info. The Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve is also nice, but that is more SW Dallas.
