Heritage Farmstead Museum, Plano. The site is on the corner of Custer Road and 15th Street, a bit over a mile West of Central Expressway.

A. W. Perry Homestead Museum, Carrollton.

Farmers Branch Historical Park. The site is just East of I-35E.

The above sites feature buildings from roughly a century ago, including homes and outbuildings.

Depending on what you mean by "country location," one of the horse farms/stables might work. There are lists on the North Texas Hunter Jumper Club Web site, and in this directory. For example, Prospering Farm has horses, pastures, ponds, show rings, tack rooms, etc.

Searching Google maps for many of these, e.g., "Prospering Farm, Prosper, TX" or "A. W. Perry Homestead Museum, Carrollton, TX", will give you a satellite view and in some cases, a street view.

If you drive around and near U.S. 380 between McKinney and Denton you'll find unused barns as well as active farms.

This one is in Argyle. It's a private property, but I could ask them for you if you like.
