Soutlake Town Center - 12-01-2008, 08:39 AM

Does anyone know if there are any fees associated with Southlake Town Center? I have a family that wants some Christmas shots there. I did a search on the forum and saw people mention the location but not if there were fees.

I emailed the management company last week and haven't received an answer yet.

Thanks!

dont have any idea, but i shot some there of my kids a few weeks ago.
some of them were useable, some were not.
some just flat looked awkward, because the grass on the slopes near the water fountain was simply way too muddy (although it looked pretty).
would be curious to see what you get if you shoot there tho.

I don't know for sure about any fees to shoot in Southlake Town Center other than if you get a case of retail fever and suddenly find yourself shopping. This time of year it is usually crowded and hard to navigate, especially on weekends. Hard to get a clean background with all the gigantic fancy cars blocking the view.

Keller (you know where it is) will be lighting its Christmas tree on Friday and some of Keller Town Center is already decorated for the season. There is also the walking trail with water features that make pretty back drops ... have them wear winter clothing or Santa hats to Christmas them up. Much less crowded and in my mind many more possibilities.

Thanks Todd.

I was worried about the backgrounds and more importantly the crowds. I kill people in crowds.

Thanks for the heads up about Keller. Do you happen to know where they are putting the tree?

The fountains behind El Paseo and that area are pretty by town hall. Is that where you are talking about?

If you shoot early before the stores open you shouldn't have any problems.

The water behind El Paseo is nice, so is the larger "lake" behind Town Hall on the other side of Bear Creek Parkway. The tree is going to go where the fountain is in front of Keller Town Hall on the parking circle. The tree might already be up, just not officially lighted until Friday's "Holly Days" event.

I did a senior session there about a year ago and didn't pay a fee. However, it was a pain because we shot on a Saturday, and there were shoppers all over the place (the parent insisted on shooting there). I'll never do that again.

Yea, I have done that before and there wasn't a soul around, but unfortunately, the husband won't be available until 6pm on a Saturday. So, it would be at its worst time during the holiday season.

I'm gonna see if we can do the Keller tree instead. I don't think they will care either way.... Thankfully, they are very easy to please. :)

Did a bridal on a Saturday morning last year there and no problems, comments or questions.
