Texas Stadium - 12-20-2008, 10:34 AM

Seeing as how this will be the last regular season game and quite possibly the last Cowboys game ever at Texas Stadium, I thought I would post this shot I got from Bachman Lake at Love Field while I was shooting jets on approach in to Love Field. My favorite memory was being able to say I was at Texas Stadium for Roger Staubach's last win, when he beat the Redskins 35-34 in December of 1979.

It's a good view Keith. Thanks for sharing. As much as I enjoy sports I never did go to a game there but I still have memories of events that have taken place. Remember the artists rendition before it was built? Not sure what happened there but it didn't end up looking quite the same.

Good view and shot of an old, ugly, outdated eyesore. I'm not real sentimental about the place and will be glad to see it gone. LOL

I've been to many of the big stadiums around the U.S. and had the occasion to go to two games at Texas Stadium. Traffic is a nightmare.
The stadium never lived up to my expectations.
I can't wait to become rich so I can afford a nosebleed seat in "JerryWorld".

I've shot games their since 2000. It's on my list of the worst pro stadiums to shoot at. Small workroom and the food taste like cardboards. Can't say I'll miss it.

HATERS!

Too much history at Texas Stadium not to love what it represents. Lots of great memories from victorious football games to jamming concerts.

I second that, sir. It's like the projects of the NFL. I can remember seeing the stadium for the first time

From a non-cowboys fan I can still appreciate the history there though. A friend of mine turned down a ticket to go tonight. I've been frantically searching for a babysitter

It was a big improvement over the Cotton Bowl. I can't believe Dallas is still sinking money in that money pit/ I will miss Tx Stadium, lots of memories, games (high school, college, and pro) as well as concerts. But now I enjoy the comfort of my recliner, sat tv, no lines for the bathroom, beer at grocery store prices, and best of all I'm not putting my money in Jerry's pocket

I took my three sons to their first football game on Thanksgiving Day in 1993 at the famous Leon Lett game filled with sleet. It was not a great game to remember but my boys remember every detail and are reminded every now and then with a clip on TV.

If you were a Cowboys fan like I am, Texas Stadium was Mecca. It is long overdue to be replaced. But as far as memories it has to rank right up there with Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, LA Coliseum and Lambeau Field as far as memories.
