Shooting FW Brahmas Hockey - 12-22-2008, 01:36 PM

I was thinking of taking in one of the Brahmas hockey games and was wondering if the NYTEX Sports Centre in Bedford is a photo friendly facility??? I was thinking of shooting with a 70-200 and hopefully get a seat next to the ice. Anyone have any experience shooting there? thanks

I would call the front office. I cannot find any information regarding photography on their web site. The number listed on the web site is (817) 336-4ICE.

Let me know what they say. I wouldn't mind shooting one sometime. I have about all the darn Dallas Stars photos I can take... I still haven't looked at 75% of them and half the season isn't even over. LOL

I've never shot hockey and would like to give it a try. I noticed they had a few home games right after Christmas.

Yes there is.. I see some shot at F8 with flash.. Can't say I shoot hockey games that way...LOL

Then again, if I want to use flash, the AAC will charge me for access to theirs. BLAH.

Keith/Roy/etc.. We ought to all get some seats together and go shoot one.. I am supposed to shoot the Stars on the 27th...But haven't committed. Haven't checked the Brahmas schedule yet...

Someone set a time and I'll try to get loose to go. We are seeing our family the day after Christmas due to scheduling. Sometimes we have to make adjustments with our Son being a police officer.

I've shot over there on and off for the last two seasons for various teams / websites... It's a fun place to catch a game. Very small rink and the crowd is right up on the ice.

Not many good places to shoot from, though... I prefer the view from the top of the stands, myself. There's no concourse inside the arena, and only a few places to stand aside from a seat.

All of the shots from this gallery were taken over there last year...

I *should* be at the game this Friday... They play Rio Grande Valley Friday and Oklahoma City Saturday.
