I live so close, I should go, but I really hate being out on New Years with all the crazy drunk drivers. I'm looking forward to coming home to a clean house (housekeeper there today - yea!), with no houseguests or sick family members, watching/semi-helping my husband cook a nice dinner and opening a great bottle of wine. Yeah, we're real live wires come New Years!

Yes, I was there last Year! I took pictures of the Bright. They are a band that played there last year, and will be there again this year! It was a Blast, with the Jumbo Trons, and Music, Countdown, and Fireworks, It was like our own little New York! If you go, get there early as it gets Packed!

The Bright goes on at 7:30!

I was in Victory Park after the Stars game and it was just too crowded and this year, the band wasn't that great. Left at 11PM to bring in the new year elsewhere and saw it on TV.

DITTO.

Shot the Stars game, then attempted to do the Victory Park thing and it was just too darn cold to put up with that crowd and/or vice versa.

At least the Stars won.

I didn't see "The Bright"... But have shot a video for them under another name a few years back... They change names quite often so it seems.

Stars game was amazing except I wish they let them fight. I went to the game sans camera cause I was there with my girl and just having a good time in platinum.

Weather doesn't get to me...I love 25 degrees with no wind chill. That's the best. I always prepare for weather. read: love camping!

Wish I could sit in Platinum and not work some of the time...

I'll be there shooting tomorrow night against those dreaded Red Wings...

Michigan is my home state but the Red Wings don't sit too well with me. Marion Hossa got traded to a great team... the better you get, the more you're worth, etc etc.

Enjoy the game, I'll be learning, scheming, conceptalizing... living a virtual life.

i probably run into you guys on a daily basis. Do you guys work for some of the media covering the games? I am the Lead Merchandise Coordinator at the AAC. If you come down the stairwell 1 elevator to Event Level my office is right when you step into the main hall with the big bay door. :)

I see photographers all the time and always want to stop and chat, but they/I am usually always in a rush.

I bet I have seen you then.. I actually am contracted by the Stars marketing department vs. a media outlet. I'll be there tomorrow night and probably Saturday. I go down to the event level quite often as I cover the ice girls between periods out on the ice. Doing my best not to bust my arse!

So can you get me a deal on some Stars merch? LOL I really need to get something new. I heard somewhere we could get a 30% discount through the Stars, but haven't followed up on that.

What kind of merch do you need? I can probably get you a decent discount, not quite sure on the percentage exactly though. Wanna swap jobs for a night? :D

Won't be there tomorrow since Thursdays are typically my days off, but say, Saturday? I'll shoot for you all day if you wanna come run the merch warehouse for me!

Not sure that wanting to sit in platinum seating every once in awhile should be regarded as "keep complaining" but...regardless, yes I am thankful...I did work hard to get to this point...Didn't off anyone though...Just the old fashion way.

I went to the Stars game last night and got there early enough to get some great shots of the team warming up. Getting there early is really sweet to take pictures. I was not prepared for how fast I could get some great images. In 11 minutes I took 188 pictures with about 10 nice shots.

Andrew, was that you, I saw you photographing the Ice girls last night?
