Yeah, there are some good spots, and downtown isn't that big. Sundance Square Watergardens Bass Performance Hall Court House.
While you're in town, drive to the Stockyards area (five minutes from downtown) park and walk around there. Old area, cattle drive twice a day, railroad, etc.
The stock show is also happening at the Will Rodgers Coliseum.

Ahh, yes... Food. I've been tring to find a steakhouse to goto. I was looking at Papas, but it's a tad over my budget. Taking a friend out for dinner for her birthday.

Since you are from Austin I'd hesitate to recommend a place to eat here, but Hofbrau's is reasonable. I like Outback.
For a low budget meal try River Oaks Steakhouse

Honestly, if you're in Euless, skip the steak and go for the pork! I don't know if you've already made the trip, but if not, on weekends, North Main BBQ off of Euless Main St. is hard to beat... $12 all you can eat, great ribs, sausage, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, and chopped beef. www.northmainbbq.com

For future trips, for a fun, laid-back Saturday afternoon in nice weather, I like sitting on the picnic tables outside and eating burgers at Tim Love's Love Shack, in the Stockyards. His nice steak place, Lonesome Dove (also in Stockyards), is pretty good, as is Riata in Sundance Square. I'd go to either of those over the "chain" steakhouses anyday. For true kitsch, though, you can't beat Cattlemen's in Ft. Worth.

A really good, suprisingly good place for a steak on Hwy 377 at the Keller, Watuga border is Frescos. And the best MEx food in town.
