DFW Lighting Class: Nov 19 & 20 (2 separate classes) - 10-05-2005, 06:44 AM

I'd like to put all the good feedback and lessons learned at my first class to work and offer up another glamour/portrait lighting class out at David's studio in Flower Mound. Same basic format this time, except I'm going to ask for $40 each so I can book two models and a MUA. That way, hopefully, at least one model will show In addition, you'll want to pay each model $10 for a full release to the images you make. That's a total of $60. I'll ask for a PayPal deposit of the $40 about 14 days before the event so I can make sure to have what I need to pay for the MUA and studio. Once again limited to 10 attendees each day. About 3-4 hours in length with me talking for about an hour, then the rest shooting one-on-one with me and the model(s).

Dates are confirmed for Saturday 11/19 @ 10:00AM-2:00PM and Sunday 11/20 @ 10:00AM-2:00PM.

Location is VIP Photography Studios in Flower Mound. See David's Web Site for directions and photographs of the studios.

Looks like I have talked my friend Ally Peer (OMP #176331) into being our feature model and we have Alexis Rose (OMP#115849) as the makeup artist and stylist.
The second model has been confirmed, Bebe Bling (OMP #196911) will be there too!

For those of you who are new and have no idea what I'm talking about, see this thread
http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ead.php?t=7213

There's also a feedback thread from the last session
http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ead.php?t=7317

$ means I have received you deposit.
X means check in the mail or other arrangements have been made

I need to receive them by 11/11 to hold your spot. Please PM me if there are any issues that prevent that, but you can ASSURE me you will come and pay with cash. I'm keeping the cost down and any missing funds come out of my pocket!!!

What kind of material and equipment are you covering for this one? Will it be like that last one and more basic, or a little more advanced?

Pretty much the same basic class, unless the group wants something a little different. I will guarantee at least one model and a MUA this time, which means a bit more on posing, makeup, and wardrobe. I might also do one set 'off the paper' with a more scene type background. That's what I'm working on for myself at home.

I'm also going to make sure we get the beauty dish in the mix this time and I might rent a big 4x6' softbox for full length shots.

I would have to say I'm REALLY interested in going.. especially now that my lights are coming, and because I have a friend to shoot soon, so I definitely need some experience working with a human subject, heh. I know I should probably let other people go first that didn't get to go last time, so I'll be nice and wait and see if it fills up (which I don't doubt it will).

I guess I should see if anyone who missed the first class want to go.
But if there is room left I would love to go.

Avalon is a great model to work with but she does not do nudes. I do not know what she would charge or if she would be available but if your interested let me know and I will contact her about your workshop.

Count me in!!! I can't do the 12th, but I can do the 18th if I fiddle with things and the 13th in the afternoon would be my preference.

I missed out on the first one, and would love to go to this one. I should be okay either Saturday, but Sunday's are no good for me.

Let me add that I'm a complete retard when it comes to studio lighting so I hope no one holds that against me.

I'd love to come again. Even if only to watch and not actually participate. In fact, I can come and help you set up if you'd like, and bring any and all of the gear I've aquired.

Which is basically just a whole lot of what you already have. :) It would be enough to setup the second studio though.
