Mid-day on Spring Break is the worst time to go, I think. I love the Arboretum, have a membership, and try to go as often as I can. I almost always try to go right when they open on Sunday morning. Less people.

You still got a good shot though, and you made the best out of the situation. :)

The state of Texas educational department thought that it would be a good idea taht all schools be let out at the same time for spring break this year. Not sure how smart that was.

I avoid the Arboretum from mid March to Mid April because of Dallas blooms it is so crowdedout there. We did a bridal 2 years ago during that time and I warned the bride about the parking and the walking and the crowds. So I just say no to all requests.
