Las Colinas Canals Permit - 03-27-2009, 10:44 AM

Do you have to pay a permit fee to shoot in the canals at all, or is it for commercial photos? I have a friend that I am doing her bridals for and it won't be paid, but I'm wondering if we still need a permit for a personal, free shoot?

Yes you have to pay a permit. The fee is $50. If you call the Dallas County Utility and Reclamation office they can fax you the forms and have you fill them out and fax back. They do credit card over the phone and then email you the permit. Here is the site with the info. http://www.dcurd.com/

Funny thing.. Look at the map of what exactly it covers....

Not to get into another debate about this... Let's just say, I don't shoot there anymore.
