Met several photographers and told them about the site so you may see some new names popping up.
KIILER BURLESQUE SHOW LAST NIGHT (kept it PG) and I think I got some great shots.
A Pro BMX and inline skate group performed (inline scate guy is from Dallas and a WORLD CHAMPION/X-GAMES winner) while the BMX guys were Pro X Game guys and they did several killer shows (pretty much the same routines) and the site is camera friendly since the sun is tracking over the sides of the trackrun and not from front to back. NAILED A COUPLE SHOTS-will get them posted this week.
So if your in Dallas and wanted to try to shoot one of these get out there today-I believe that they will have 3 shows (first one after noon last around 6pm) but at least 2.
They are going to have a pooch parade starting at the Dog Park under the I45 Bridge then walking down Main through the street fest grounds raising money for the Dog Park. A lot of people had dogs out yesterday but should have a lot more today.
Music was pretty eclectic yesterday and the artists showing their works were a pretty good selection and no "granny artists" so most was worth at least looking at if not purchasing something. (the guy who makes the little heads of creatures in the shadow boxes has some cool stuff- said he had a background in animation). |
