Went to shoot the Collings Foundation bombers at the Frontiers of Flight Museum this morning.

The aircraft were fantastic!

I've got to go back and get some more images, I'm not happy with these 100% as I was fighting the sun the whole time. Next time I'll go in the afternoon as the morning sun at 10:00 was too much for me to get around....

Through April 12 I believe.

If you're into this kind of stuff, it's hard to pass up as you can crawl all through both bombers. Pretty neat, really!

It's funny to me at just how small the bombers are on the inside - getting across the catwalk on both bombers was entertaining, to say the least.

I may try to head out there on Thursday, then. Several years back I got to crawl around inside "Chuckie", the Vintage Flying Museum's airworthy B-17 based at Meacham Field. It was surprisingly cramped- one friend of "husky" build sorta got himself stuck on the bomb bay catwalk between the support frames that held the bomb racks.

Things really haven't changed, though. I got to crawl around inside the B-52G Stratofortress that's in storage for Museum of Flight at Paine Field in Everett, WA. It's just as cramped, if not worse, than the B-17!

Thanks for the info!

My diet hasn't quite kicked in enough to allow me to get in one of these,...
Maybe next time they are in the area.

I was there Sunday Morning. I got there early enough to see the B-17 and P-51 flying. I missed most of my P-51 shots cause he was so fast he snuck up on me, and I didn't have my shutter speed fast enough....

My stuff is Here....
