If you like shooting news and don't have a good portfolio of assignments built up yet, go ahead. I have to do enough of that kind of stuff already. No need to shoot a story I'm not getting paid to shoot...

I don't want to mislead you. I bet it would be fun for many aspiring photojournalists to shoot. I think I was just in a negative frame of mind when I posted, thinking about all the boring stuff I've been sent to shoot over the years. Sometimes shooting for newspapers is not very glamorous...

But, definitely go and show us your shots!

What is planned elsewhere in the state? Time? link?
I shot the AIG protest in Dallas Sat and it was pretty tame, other cities across the state were mostly at Banks or Federal Reserve locations.

Did you know about the protest outside of Bush's House/street entrance Mon Night?
