These are really good Jezebel! Such a wonderful variety of shots! The first image of the rocking chair is my favorite.

That rocking chair is wonderful, Jez.

I keep meaning to get out there (I live in GP, so its not like I have far to go), but I never manage it.

AWesome Jez! I had my eye on this place for the past couple of weeks. I was thinking of going there to take some engagement shots for my coworker's sister and fiance. So, they let people in there with cameras no problem?

Those are some beautiful pictures.. you do such an awesome job with PP! I assume you shoot RAW :P

Joe, thanks for the link. After seeing Jezebel's pics it's defintately on my list of places to go shoot. Of course Jezebel has such a good eye she could probably get great pictures anywhere!

Thanks, everyone! I definitely recommend a trip out to Samuell Farm if you haven't been, especially if you're nearby. I'm only about 4-5 minutes away. The place is usually pretty empty which makes it nice for walking around because it's quiet. It's changed a good bit since I last went there about a year ago.

Rozzie - Actually I don't shoot RAW, but I probably should. o_o Shame on me!

For those of you that don't know where it's at, it's right off of HWY 80 in Sunnyvale if you're going from Dallas to Terrell. Right on the outskirts of Mesquite.

Awesome! I guess if you know what you're doing... you could always get away with not shooting RAW :P It sounds like they're open to people coming in with cameras, so I am definitely going to have to visit in the next 2 weeks. It's only 10m away from my coworker and his sister's house in Mesquite. :)

Oh yeah, they definitely don't mind cameras here - there usually isn't even a person sitting around "keeping watch" for lack of better phrasing. I just walk through the entry gate (which has always been wide open for me) and start roaming the property. One time I showed up there when it was snowing and the owners were out front. They greeted me when I came in and wanted me to take pictures of them, haha. They were -really- nice. You definitely shouldn't have any problems. :)

Did anyone ever go to Samuel Farm when they had the civil war re-enactment. I didn't have my D70 back then which is a shame. Wonder why they don't do have that there anymore. Anyone know of a re-enactment around the metroplex?
