Waxahachie

This is a discussion on Waxahachie within the Dallas/FW Area Photo Locales forums, part of the Dallas / Fort Worth category; I am shooting outdoor family portraits in Waxahachie/Ennis, Texas next week. Any suggestions on where to shoot? Thanks...

In Waxahachie you have Getzendaner park behind the Hospitial. In the park is an old auditorium and on the backside of the park is an old bridge. The park is full of huge pecan trees. Down town on the square you have the courthouse which is one of the most photographed in the country. There is also some other place on or around the square.

Downtown (the Square) is the best place to shoot. There are many good spots to shoot around there.. Benches, grass, blast of the past everywhere! There is a "park" across the street from the main Citizens Bank (back side) thats a great place to shoot. It has stairs leading to a creek. Lots of shadows though so be prepared!
