Question Photo Ops around N. Dallas - 06-24-2009, 01:09 PM

I have a friend who is looking to buy a new DSLR (not had one before), and I would like to take her somewhere to use mine and see how she likes it. She's not an outdoors person (especially this time of year) so we're looking for something indoors mostly. Can you give me some suggestions of where to take her on the north side of Dallas, basically anywhere north of LBJ up to The Colony/Frisco/McKinney?

take her to an arboretum, zoo or even just a pretty park. you dont need anything fancy if she just wants to test it out.something far, something near, soemthing colorful, something detailed & something bland. thats prolly what you should have her shoot to see if she likes it.

Thanks. I know those places, but I was trying to find something indoors (cooler temps). And thanks for the variations, I will get her to do all those.

I have a Canon Rebel XTi for sale if she's open to being canon-ized.

You can try Frisco Commons in Frisco. It's a nice little park. Lots of open space but this also means no shade for the harsh sunlight during the day. http://www.friscofun.org/parks/parks...coCommons.aspx
