Looking for a park around grapevine, trophy club, etc. - 08-21-2009, 12:18 PM

I was going to do a portrait session this weekend at the Gaylord Texan but because of the recent issues the photographers have had as well as their outrageous fee I want to look elsewhere.

I am looking for a place that has open shade. I never been to Bear Creek Park but it might fit the bill. Has anyone shot at Bear Creek Park? Would you shoot their again?

Anyone have other recommendations for the west side of the Metroplex?

Thanks, Scott.

I've used Bear Creek a couple of times; not a bad location but I prefer Trailwood Park. It has a creek and few sport venues. If you park in the Midway entrance lot there is even a bridge abutment that can be used.

I'm looking for the same thing - open shade somewhere in this area for a 6-month old boy and family. Any pics of these places?
