Where is this train bridge? - 10-04-2009, 01:05 PM

Hey all........I'm obsessed with finding this location, it seems to be near the DFW area. I've asked several photographers that have shot there but didn't get any helpful responses.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Disregard the scantily clad women it's the bridge I'm looking for!

Thanks,

Dan

There is one similar in Allen. But why not just ask the photographer of the other photo?

Thanks Ken I'll check the railroad forums a great suggestion!

Thanks Janice I am aware of that small trestle in Allen and I appreciate the photo that you posted, but I'm looking for the one that I've posted. If I knew who took that photo I would certainly ask.

Dan

There is a very similar one in Liberty, TX. Much better looking imo.

I dunno. But the original shot leaves a lot to be desired photographically. The bridge is probably somewhere in the mid-cities... as there are a lot like that there.

That looks like Alton Bridge in Denton, Texas. I've been there a couple times, it seems to be a popular spot for senior shoots. It also seems to be a popular place for people to leave their beer bottles (probably underage drinkers).

The Old Alton bridge in Denton is similar in that it's an old iron bridge, but it is a pedestiran bridge, not a railroad bridge (trestle). It is popular for photos though.

I seem to remember a bridge that looked like that on the Trinity just below lake lewisville. There was a canoe rental company that had a little outfitting setup that covered that section. Not sure of the exact location--been quite a while since I paddled that area.

Hey guys I had a guy tell me where this train bridge is and I can see it on google earth.

The bridge is located in Allen, between Legacy and Bethany dr., and looks to be a stone's throw east of 75. I've driven by this hundreds of time and didn't know. Go figure!
