Shooting at the Dallas Arboretum - 11-03-2009, 11:55 AM

I am going to be taking some maternity photos this Sunday at the Dallas Arboretum. I have never been there before...any advice on shooting at this location? Are there also any neat areas near the arboretum? Perhaps some old buildings, etc...

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

It's a huge place :) I only went once to check it out, I didn't have a client with me. I suggest just wandering around and shooting whatever strikes your fancy. You probably can't go too far since she is pregnant, but there are all kinds of pools and flowers.

There is a really pretty tiger lily(ish) area that is shaded that would be pretty.

White Rock Lake (I think that's the right name) is right beside it and everyone says that is really nice to shoot at as well.

I don't recall seeing any old buildings around Arboretum.....

That place is huge, with a lot of possibilites, and there are some spots you can't just walk by and see them...they are kinda hidden everywhere...I would suggest paying a visit on your own first to kinda figure out some ideas....otherwise it would be more difficult to discover with your client/model.

But since she's pregnant..maybe you guys won't be going to far/deep into the place...
