wheat field? Location Help Needed - 02-24-2010, 12:30 PM

Hi. I have a client that wants to do some shots in a field with tall grass, perhaps an antique chair with her 3 year old - any ideas? I'll see if I can find any examples.

Thanks for your help!

The wheat fields aren't growing yet (I have one across the street from my neighborhood). There are several up 289 (Preston Rd), into Prosper.

Native Prairies Association of Texas

Also not much wheat in the DFW area, more like Amarillo/ Lubbock area.

Yep, I would go for native grasses too. Just today I saw a whole field of tall red ones that I thought would be beautiful for a shoot. Of course, that doesn't help you since I'm in the great state of Oklahoma. :)

wooded area in McKinney - 02-25-2010, 05:19 PM

This is a wooded area in McKinney...if you walk further back then the grass is taller...this happened to be in October after it rained all month and the bugs were everywhere so we were only there for a second.

I have also seen senior here, that is actually where I got this idea from.

There are a bunch of wheat fields in McKinney. You'll need to drive around to find one without construction now though. Try along Custer North of 121 and along FM-720 (runs East-West). If you go up even farther North you may be able to find more.

This was near McKinney but I was following Leslie and have no idea how we got there.
Ask Leslie or Sherese or Janice.
