East Dallas/Lakewood Locations? - 03-21-2010, 10:24 AM

Other than White Rock Lake..

Other than the Arboretum...

I was looking at my map o' locations and I realized that the only spot I have marked in that area is White Rock. I have a couple who wants to shoot close to home and they live over there. They would like to do some naturey and some more urban, so White Rock can cover the nature part, but I wanted to see if anybody had any ideas on some funky stuff in that area without traversing all the way downtown.

Thanks in advance.

Jeeze it is only 5 miles from the west side of White Rock to Deep Ellum which is loaded with potential, also Fair Park has a diverse range of scenery. So within a 2 or so mile radius you have Deep Ellum, Eastern Edge of Downtown and Fair Park and don't forget the Victorian Restored Homes along Lower Swiss Ave.

So Shoot White Rock area, go down over to Lakewood Blvd/Tokalon/Lakeshore on the west side of the lake, go up to Abrams and then head south through the Lakewood Shopping center, hop over west a block or so and hit Swiss Avenue, go all the way down Swiss until it takes you right into Deep Ellum then take a right for Downtown or a left for Fair Park! Should have at least 500 locations to choose from-don't forget the Lakewood Theatre 1930's era marquee and tower one of the few left in the city.

I totally forgot about this thread. Actually we got our locations all picked out. An area of White Rock I actually haven't shot yet and a spot I forgot I knew about near one of their favorite hangouts. :) I had thought about Lakewood Theatre, but I have a couple who is getting married there and already wants to do their e-session there, so I hate to double up in a short period of time.. Try and mix it up! Thanks for the other ideas, I will keep them in mind for the future.
