Can anyone suggest good indoor or outdoor locations to photograph children in or around Allen?

Thank you.

George,

Your request is so vague it's really going to be hard for someone to help you. Please be more specific.

At least give us a feel for how they will be dressed, or the type of photograph you are going to be wanting to capture. If you don't have a target in mind, how do you know you are aiming in the right direction. Most clients will look to you for direction. Pick one and figure out a way to aim toward it.

For example, I want to find a formal indoor place, that has a piano and a oriental rug.
Another, I would like to have a place where children can run and maybe play on a swing without a distracting background.

I live at Custer and McDermott in Plano. I will be glad to help you. Private message me with your phone number and we will connect.

Anyone know where the entrance to "Trial at the Woods" is located? The city website only said the park is located from Rollins to Alma.

I have not been to that one but go to this map and it is #49.

When you go on google it looks like there is a parking area on Rollins east of Alma about a half a block and and entrance from the other end Kansas Ct.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to check out some of the parks in Allen listed on the Parks and Rec website.

Just pretty much playing with lighting and the camera when we hit a real cool bridge behind the skate park in Allen and behind Allen High School. There is a real cool walking path behind there that we took some photos on with the teen by a tree and his mom walking up from behind (kind of like a growing up and leaving things behind sort of feel)

On the road leading to the skate park there was a beat up old ford truck parked in someone's yard. We didn't see anyone home and used it for a quick photo shoot. If you keep going passed the truck, look to your left and there are a ton of old worn down old houses to the left. I can't remember the street/ intersection.

I know the location you're talking about. Allen is trying to set up their own historical village type thing at Cedar and St Mary Dr across from the Senior Center. Though, they are putting up plastic siding on the buildings, so I don't think it's going to be that great. I have shot in that area a couple of times, including this engagement session:

Click me, woohoo, magic!

There is a crashed up car down along the walking path in the woods across the street from the high school. But, I'm warning you.. it has some obscene shapes painted on it, that I have had to clone out a few times haha.
