abandoned amusement park...

hey ya'll...
anyone seen any abandoned amusement park equipment/rides near dfw or surrounding cities? i know there are some old rides out at the galaxy, but was looking for something a bit closer...

sorry i cant help you but where is The Galaxy?!

the galaxy drive in @ ennis...they have some random amusement park odds and ends laying around {well...they did a year ago...}

I think there's a place over toward FW, around NRH, if I recall correctly.... but it looked fairly chained up and not readily accessible. And all the rides are collapsed down. More like an amusement park junkyard, than an abandoned park site. It was off 183/121 between 820 and 35W.

There's one south of Dallas on 35, but I dont' recall it being close to the drive in at Ennis. Might be the same one tho and I'm just not remembering correctly since it's been a few months since we drove down that strip of highway.
