Outdoor Locations off 635 for Maternity Shoot - 10-02-2010, 10:35 AM

Hi!

I have a maternity shoot next week and was in need of some good tall, grassy locations or fields off I635 between 75 and 35.

There are some great parks but they are all well-manicured and no tall grass exists

Any ideas? Also, feel free to list your favorite park in that general area! I thought of the Celestial Park but was told parking was hard to find...

Tks!

Melissa,

There is the Cottonwood Trail (I think that's the name of it) It runs under the High 5 Parking is tricky but it might work for you.

Only City of Dallas park that I know of that has tall grass are in parts of White Rock Lake (actually being grown out on purpose), even with the budget cuts the city is cutting the grass in the parks and along the biketrails-fire danger otherwise.

So you will need to go out into the country north of 635 to find fields of tall grasses.

Spring Creek Forest Preserve has some tall grass but it's not in the area you specified. It's right off of George Bush/Campbell area.

Thanks to all for the info.! "Mom" decided she wanted to have the pics done studio-style but Cottonwood did look "doable" and I can't wait to drive out to the Preserve and White Rock in the next two weeks...have heard good things about both areas :)
