Christmas-holiday photo locations? - 11-04-2010, 09:30 PM

Hi,

Is anyone aware of any Christmas-y type places to shoot holiday portraits at? I know it's early but wondered of any...have some families wanting their holiday pics done already!!!

I know of the Gaylord...going to check it out this weekend to see if they have any decor out yet...but wanted to do without the fees if possible :/

Also, any urban/vintage feel Christmas-y place would be great!

Thanks!

Gaylord=among highest fees in the area. Avoid it!

However, downtown Grapevine should be decked out in holiday stuff soon. And even before that (you're probably familiar) there are tons of possibilities all in one little area. If you wait too long, they'll have that horrible holiday train running and it will start getting really crowded.

I was going to suggest this too. I don't know when they decorate but it's super cute along that main drag.. This is a pretty old session from Dec 2008 but it shows some of the Christmas decorations over there. Click me to seeee!

Thanks Todd! I will not waste my time with Gaylord then. Just wish I could find more decorated areas ... Going to look for a Christmas Tree Farms as well ... thought that might be a good second place to shoot :)

Brandi, nothing came up when I clicked your link :( Let me rephrase...your site came up but that one page had black squares on it where I assume are where the photos should be...

I do want to say though...both of you are very talented with some awesome photos!! A newbie, I am aspiring to be as such =) Thanks for your time!!

It looked like Granbury was decorating the city park yesterday. It's a really nice place with fountains and bridges. It's just before you get into downtown on Hwy. 51 going south.

Here is a small sample image from the city's website.
