Dressy Family Portrait

I'll start with another poster's comment: I'm usually behind the lense, but this time I need to be in front of it.

I'm in Mesquite, but fine with Dallas area too or even east of Mesquite.

I'm looking for a place, preferably no fees, to do a very quick formal family portrait. I only need one good one of the three of us. We are dressing up (suit for H, Christmas dress for daughter, cocktail dress for me), but I don't care if it's decorated for Christmas or not. Our home isn't set up for what I want, or I'd probably be fine with a nice fireplace as the background (ours isn't very "formal'). It's our first Christmas wth our daughter and I'd like a really nice family portrait to commemorate. Again, I don't need a christmas tree or wreath, it doesn't have to be "holiday" oriented. Anyone have any suggestions or examples? I have a hard time picturing formal attire outside in a pretty park, but I'm running out of ideas.

Try the Marriott Solana in Westlake. I just did a family portrait shoot there last week and they didn't charge me anything. It has a nice contemporary living room w/ fireplace, bar area, and archway you can use as a backdrop. Just be sure to call the event coordinator and make sure that they don't have any events going on.
